abOUT THE CHOIR

I have been the Musical Director for Walton Voices for nearly 10 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. They are an incredibly kind and approachable bunch of singers and are always up for a challenge. The choir has over tripled in size since I took it on and now there are close to 100 members. There is no audition procedure so you just turn up and sing!
Recent performances include pieces written specially for the choir and collaborations with exciting instrumental groups. During the various lockdowns that took place between 2020 - 2022 the choir kept going online and was a real lifeline for our members. This led to me being nominated for a Making Music UK award for best vocal director and I got shortlisted down to the last three of around 100 entries! |
