The choir has taken part in many competitions and festivals, including the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. Internationally the choir has sung in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and the Czech Republic. In 2008 we were invited to enter the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition and received many favourable comments from the adjudicators at the Southern area event . Home tours have included performances in the cathedrals of Wells, Lichfield, Ely, Norwich, Guildford, St. Albans, York Minster, Winchester, Chichester, Rochester, Peterborough, Southwark, Gloucester and Exeter. Recently the choir have enjoyed competing in the Cornwall International Male Choir Festival and participated in 2017 and 2022.

About the choirSince its formation in 1921 the Weybridge Male Voice Choir has grown to its present strength of almost seventy members and enjoys a wide reputation for quality of performance and entertainment value.
Although based in Weybridge the choir’s membership is drawn from all over Surrey and from all walks of life. The choir performs to many audiences each year throughout Surrey, the South East and many other parts of Great Britain, raising funds for local and national charities. |
